This clay body is highly adaptable and works well with a variety of pottery techniques. It throws and turns effortlessly on the wheel, is excellent for hand-building projects, and is also suitable for slip casting.
KGM Stoneware Clay Body is a versatile material with a broad firing range, making it suitable for both earthenware and stoneware temperatures. When fired at earthenware temperatures (1080c – 1120c), it reveals a warm cream colour that serves as an ideal canvas for decorating and applying coloured glazes. The body can also be fired at higher stoneware temperatures (1220c – 1250c), where it performs exceptionally well in both oxidised and reduction atmospheres.
