PU29 Royal Blue Underglaze Powder

Powdered underglazes can be used to colour glaze, clay bodies or slips, just like stains.

Powdered underglazes are generally used for hand painting decoration onto bisque clay but can also be applied to greenware. The powdered underglaze is mixed with a universal glaze medium and water to form a thin consistency. This mixture is then applied to dust-free and grease-free bisque ware/greenware, and then can be covered with a suitable clear glaze.

Unlike glazes, underglaze colours can be mixed to create new colours.

Powdered underglaze colours will last forever if stored in a dry airtight container.

Suitable for use to 1250°C
